Looking back at the title of this blog, I realize it's redundant. If phobias were rational, they wouldn't be phobias. Oh well.
Anyway, I've been thinking about irrational fears lately. What causes them, and why?
I'm afraid of three things:

1. Carnivals. There is something incredibly creepy about carnivals, fairs, etc. I don't know why, but I refuse to be at one after dark.

2. Dolls. Porcelain dolls, Barbie dolls, whatever. They scare me for an unknown...

So, this is my first blog post. I figured it would be best to write about something that I know. This is the 100% true story of election season - 2009. (All names have been changed, even though no one was innocent.)
It started one ordinary day in January. I was picking up my backpack (complete with hand embroidered image of Che Guevara) when I heard a voice on the intercom. "All students who wish to run for student council must pick up the nomination forms in Ms. Johnson's room."...
