Too often, in American schools, we see children forced into patriotism. Many students from K-12 are forced to say the Pledge of Allegiance, or face consequences ranging from verbal warnings to suspension. After these morning rituals, a students day is often full of messages that promote ones "Duty" as an American citizen.
