Too often, in American schools, we see children forced into patriotism. Many students from K-12 are forced to say the Pledge of Allegiance, or face consequences ranging from verbal warnings to suspension. After these morning rituals, a students day is often full of messages that promote ones "Duty" as an American citizen. Such "Duties" would be Voting, Joining the Military, Running for Public Office, and studying indepth politics to help better the "Greatest" nation...
