    Ah ok.

I just want to make sure very body I know was safe down there. I don't like the idea that my friends or acquaintances get bet up by cops.

I noticed you are from the Seattle area. Have you been to the protests in the city today? There are little to none up here with the exception of the immigrant rallies.

well how do you deal with the criticism that anarcho-syndicalism does not accomodate for community organising. My response is that residents assoications should be contained in a modern anarcho syndicalist union which will function more as a grand federation of all working class organisations, not just labour unions.

Also, who are you active with? And how do you deal with the CNTs capitulation to the government, and the critique unions can not have coherent and uncomprimising revolutionary positions?

    Political Statement
Started out being just vaguely liberal - supporting things like welfare because it just seemed like the decent thing to do.

Moved on to democratic socialism based on the belief that if you tried to implement economic equality without political equality, then the powerful will enrich themselves; if you try to implement political equality without economic equality, then the wealthy will buy power.

Then happened to come across the history of the Histadrut - a union that actually owned businesses? It made me consider possibilities I had never heard of before.

During a strike at GM one Independence Day, I posted a version of the Declaration of Independence, rewritten such that it was the employees declaring independence from the executives (instead of the colonies declaring independence from the king). Someone told me it looked like anarcho-syndicalism.

I'd never heard of it before, but I looked it up... and that's what I've been calling myself ever since.

Too busy lately to contribute much to revleft unfortunately. When I wasn't too busy, these were my favorite sources of information:

This place obviously, or I wouldn't have been here

Sometimes a bit strange, but not always:
    http://news.infoshop.org/

Wish they had more content, but occasionally a great story:
    http://libcom.org/news

Info about Latin America that you don't see from the viewpoint of their oppressors:
    http://upsidedownworld.org/main/
    http://www.soaw.org/presente/
    http://quixote.org/

Stuff you'd never even hear a hint of in "mainstream" news:

    http://indianvanguard.wordpress.com/

Great place to post the news you like and get more news - like here, you can get feedback on everything, so I consider revleft and reddit part of a great feedback loop:
