So I'm pretty sure that KMFDM's "Leid und Elend" inspired Suicide Commando's "Dein Herz Mein Gier" or maybe the other way around... listen to the choruses

Yeah I actually sort of liked the last two SP albums... definitely "different" from older SP but it's just as good as some other electro-industrial stuff. I don't care much for Ohgr though. I also have no clue on In Solvent See

What do you think of later-era Skinny Puppy and OhGr

Seriously man are you like my Doppelganger or something?

Do you think that industrial music has something to do with our interest in H+? I know that when I read transhumanist-related stuff, I always put on VNV or FLA. Suicide Commando if I'm feeling particularly misanthropic.

I actually haven't read any Kurzweil! I've only listened to/read interviews with him. I've read some stuff by Nick Bostrom and I think I may have read parts of that Transhumanist Manifesto you mentioned. Donna Haraway's Cyborg Manifesto is also really interesting and influential for me.

What do you think of stuff like Asphyxia or Psyclon Nine? I tried to get into aggrotech but some of it is pretty repetitive

The main genres I'm listening to are prog rock/metal stuff, trip-hop, dubstep, and of course Industrial.

That being said, Tricky is trip-hop (a bit less accessible than Massive Attack though) and Guilt Machine is prog metal. Have you heard of Ayreon? Well it's basically the brainchild of Arjen A Lucasson, some Dutch musical genius who is involved with a lot of prog rock opera projects. Ayreon is good too, but I can't choose individual songs due to the fact that each album is a concept album where the songs all go together.
