And just so you remember, you don't form factions whenever a difference of opinion arises, factions should only be formed when it is necessary to do so.

Factions and "permanent factions" are two different thing's. "Permanent factions" shows that you have been unable to resolve the conflict, i e that's why the USFI does not actually function as an international.

We are not interested in "permanent factions", that's on of the main weaknesses of the usfi, or rather a symptom of their problem.

Minority, no doubt. I think the Minority has made some criticism we would undoubtedly agree with. But there's currently no organized effort to bring them over, nor for that matter the ex-IMTers.

Which class came up with political parties? Under which class's rule and in which class's interests did parties emerge? Which class do party functionaries, spokespeople and candidates belong to?

Thanks for your rep, DNZ. I'm not actually Czech, but most of my research revolves in some way around the country and I usually spend at least a few months of the year there.

Heh, thanks. "Educate, Agitate, Organize" has been a slogan of the Socialist Party's (currently defunct) youth wing for some time. YPSL also used/uses the "Three Arrows" symbol, which I'm a big fan of.

Previous blog: http://www.revleft.com/vb/blog.php?b=6667

Sometimes blogs can be more conducive to agitation than education. The previous blog was educative, and part of a broader programmatic framework. This one, posted elsewhere online as a blog comment or a letter, aims to be agitative.

Some economically radical demands are more important than others, among them the proposals of left economists Hyman Minsky and Rudolf Meidner, and I feel these...

Demands, State Power, Political Struggle, and Economic Illusions

“At the heart of the problem was the Left's often uncritical embrace of one of the most oppressive, disempowering and alienating institutions that most working-class people ever have the misfortune to interact with in their lives: the modern state. At some point, the Left dropped its former aim of encouraging the ‘self-emancipation’ of working people, and replaced it with an aim that to most people seems like its opposite:...

There's organizational fetishism, and then there's organizational focus. This may evoke a kind of secular evangelism on the subject, but without organizational focus, one will never see a revolutionary period for the working class.

Organizational focus demands a synthesis of the best elements each lesser "form" has to offer:

- Immediate trade unions were formed in opposition to craft unions, organizing active skilled and unskilled workers on the basis of...

The Merger Formula: Ideology on Why Real Parties are Real Movements and Vice Versa

The previous blog, Real Parties as Real Movements and Vice Versa, explained the institutional basis for the title. This unoriginal yet long-overdue blog provides the ideological basis.

"It is evident that the worker movement is divided into two sections, the Chartists and the Socialists. The Chartists are the more backward, the less developed, but...

Real Parties as Real Movements and Vice Versa: Alternative Culture and Bureaucracy Revisited

"Social Democracy is the party of the militant proletariat; it seeks to enlighten it, to educate it, to organise it, to expand its political and economic power by every available means, to conquer every position that can possibly be conquered, and thus to provide it with the strength and maturity that will finally enable it to conquer political power and to overthrow the rule of the bourgeoisie."...
