For sure. I'm in Charlotte right now organizing against the DNC so I won't be back til mid-September. I'll be sure to find out the shows coming up though. They've already got a bunch planned.
Actually, you should also just add "Disastr House" on Facebook.
If you look up my YouTube channel "adiosucks123". I have a playlist for my band "The Mill", a playlist for our punk house, and a playlist for the scene in general but that playlist hasnt been updated for a few months. I live in the punk house so I could definitely give you tons of info on what's happening there.
Yeah, in the Mchenry area the scenes come and go. When I lived in Algonquin it was only a ska scene there with some screamo bands too. Im up in Rockford now and heavily involved in the punk there and the cities around it. It's pretty big here and the metal scenes big too. There are some good skin/Oi! bands but some have some bonehead members/followers.
At the moment there's no great specific info I could give you. To find both movements, look to the music scenes in the area. I did more research into the bonehead groups in the area a few years back and found a lot of groups and info on them. A little bit of google work might come up with some info on them.
As for anti-fash groups I'd suggest the same thing. I'd say most of the groups are based out of Chicago. There are anti-racist/fash groups in other areas but they are loose knit and nothing "official". Most of it that I know of are anti-racist punks that just kind of band together.
