The presence of the Chavez government and his policies are seen by many progressives and revolutionaries as pivotal to the progression of socialism throughout latin america and possibly even further afield. Furthermore, the way in which Venezuela has aided sections of impoverished americans has been a source of embarressment for the US government. Discuss and debate how progressives globally can do their part to act in solidarity with the current Venezuelan political system.

RAF: For a few months i have been toying with the idea of creating a paper, which would be made up of world news, poetry, literature reviews, write ins with some of the papers writers answering readers questions, and marxist contributors writing articles and such things. All the money made would go towards things like palestinian aid charities, help africa, childrens organisations, BTW i am not a moron and know the paper would not generate a lot of money, but every little helps and i myself like writing and i am sure many of the comrades on here, who are much wiser than me do as well. Would any of you like to contribute to the paper by writing on any number of topics, let me know if you would. This may yet still be a pipe dream so it may not happen, but i hope this does not curb your enthusiasm. Thanks comrades
