I've never bothered with scales or owt like that, so when I took up the task of baking a carrot cake, I thought I was ballsed. Then I realised that I have a measuring cup for laundry detergent, and I realised 'Holy shit! 1cc=1ml=1g!' and the cake came out fine. You don't get that transferability with oz, cubic inches and pints.

Sure ya do! Any measuring cup you can find has measurements in both measures.

I never have a problem going back and forth - just use the correct side of the measuring device!

I don't think I can find a measuring device that doesn't have both systems of measurement on it anymore!

Thank the Canadians for being right next to the USA! Ever since they adopted the metric system, all the cooking utensil companies seemed to produce their measuring devices for both countries!
