The unity within the radical Leftist community is essential. Throughout the last century, splinter groups of ideologies have grown forth like religious sects, looking to convert more true believers. Vast alienation occurs between Leftists who uphold certain ideologies and shun others. If history shows us anything, it's that certain ideas can flourish, and other ideas, such as left communism and utopian anarchism, are doomed to failure. It is self-evident that Marxism-Leninism is a possibility within this imperfect world.
Revisionism has prevailed in many countries who adopted Marxism-Leninism. But, through the progressive evolution of thought, we can see that more modern leaders improve on the failings of past Marxist-Leninist leaders. For instance, Lenin introduced the concept of the vanguard party, filling in many empty spaces Marx failed to explain thoroughly. Stalin continued the Marxist-Leninist legacy by improving industry, agriculture, and technology. By the time of Stalins death, the Soviet Union was the second most powerful country in the world. With the likes of Mao Tse-Tung and Enver Hoxha, we see vast improvements in China and Albania from eliminating remnants of feudalism to mass organization for the sake of independence from foreign ( and domestic ) imperialists.
All countries who adopt Marxism-Leninism add their own essential elements, due to enviroment and culture, but do not go so far to completely stray from the foundations of Anti-Revisionist Marxism-Leninism. Marxism-Leninism is not a static dogma, but an ever expanding ideology for progress. Every country that has ever taken up Marxism-Leninism, regardless of culture and enviroment, has improved in many domestic problems. Marxism-Leninism has helped make vast populations literate, fought for womens rights, increased the longevity of the people, as well as lowering infant mortality rates.
What has happened? What has become of our movement and why are things so stagnant? As Anti-Revisionist Marxist-Leninist, it is our duty to determine the problems. Intellectual elites funded by pro-capitalist think tanks have taken over mainstream publishing companies and media, determining what the average person is allowed to know. Unforunately, many fellow leftists have fallen for this sham of revisionist history, believing that great leaders such as Stalin, Mao, and Hoxha were mass murdering, dictatorial mad men. Think about it: this is a world which lies in the palm of the bourgeoisie class, do you think for a second they would want the average person to realize that another system; another world, is possible?
As for internal problems, I for one feel that their has been too much focus on the past and individual figures. Sectarian arguments have divided and weakened our movement while at the same time much of what needs to be discussed is overlooked. Labels such as Maoist and Hoxhaist are not bad in themselves and are used to narrow down on certain ideas we may accept or reject. We must remember, our ideologies grow from a common root.
Potential Anti-Revisionist leaders lie within our very ranks. Bourgeois politics will never cease until a mass movement occurs led by those who follow the examples of the past without idolizing it. I feel a golden age lies ahead of us, but it's only obtainable if we set aside our differences and unite on the essentials. Without our aid and education, the working class will either remain captivated by bourgeois nationalism or revolt without organization, causing a new exploitive class to take control.
That's what I think, does anybody have any suggestions? Please comment.
