Celebrate November the 5th!
I'm going to watch V for Vendetta and if there's any protesting I'll go there. Also whiskey.Posted 22nd October 2011 at 02:13 by Triceramarx

I hate being the only Marxist in my highschool
Eh. You can't worry about it too much. Not everyone is ready to be freed.
As Marx said about false-consciousness, the Power want people to be satisfied with their lives to make sure they never think they're being oppressed.
Convince who you can and the rest will figure it out during the revolution.Posted 13th October 2011 at 03:14 by Cormac89 -

I would make fun of your beliefs, if that helps.Posted 25th September 2011 at 10:20 by ZeroNowhere

My Little Brother A Nazi???
I'd like to think he's just being a typical rebellious teenager who doesn't know what the fuck he's on about. But then again, they say the same thing about us commies.
In any case, it's probably just a phase. Unless he's been brought up to sympathize with Nazism, he'll probably get over this.Posted 23rd September 2011 at 19:27 by GPDP

The next place I'm moving is full of rich people and rednecksQuote:I don't think you're necessarily doing anything wrong. The other students are definitely doing something wrong by making fun of your beliefs, though. I don't think there's anything you can do except just keep at it and not let the things they say affect you.
You're a lot braver than I was. I didn't really dare to tell anyone (besides relatively sympathetic friends who still thought my beliefs were overly idealistic) my political beliefs. (My high school was full of racist idiots/Confederate sympathizers who seemed to believe that southern Pennsylvania was the Deep South.) Now that I'm in college and people seem a lot more mature, I'm telling people, and they're usually willing to at least talk a little bit about it without personal attacks.
So yeah. You kind of just have to hold on and wait until you can choose to go somewhere better.
so if I can enlighten one mind that'd be a miracle but most of them are conservative
republicans
and Capitalists

Reform: Does it work?
Quote:A reform can work only so far as to slightly alter the existing Capitalist order. It cannot bring about a Socialist state, since it goes against the interests of the Bourgeoisie that are mostly in control of the State.
Should they see a reform too radical, they will do everything - and they can do a lot - to stop it. Either by corrupting the reformists or by directly stopping the reforms.
In a post-revolutionary society there will, of course, have to be reforms implemented to the current social order as that is the only way to advance toward our ultimate goal: Communism.
However, with the Bourgeoisie gone, and this society far more radical, we will be able to actually get something done.

My Father
Sorry to hear that. I hope you don't take it too hard though. People believe all sorts of weird shit, even your parents.
I've had to tackle my fathers racism all my life and he shows no sign of changing. :/Posted 19th September 2011 at 13:15 by Bror_Jon
